TenarisTamsa and Tenova LOI Italimpianti signed a contract for one austenitizing furnace and one tempering furnace for pipes. The furnaces, which have a production of 65 tons/hour and will be installed at TenarisTamsa’s new pipe mill in Veracruz, Mexico, have been designed according to LOI Italimpianti’s latest concepts in the field of pipe heat-treatment furnaces. One feature of the furnaces is the installation of flameless burners on the hardening furnace, which will ensure low-NOx emissions and the best temperature uniformity into the furnace and onto the pipe.

Another feature is the installation of self-recuperative burners in the soaking zone of hardening furnace. This solution maximizes the heat recovery from waste gases and makes the furnace more flexible by keeping the heating zone independent from the soaking zone. Tenova LOI Italimpianti is a supplier of industrial furnaces and services for the metal industry.
