Temperature Indicator
Tempilstik temperature indicators make marks that melt within 1% of their rated temperatures and offer the lowest possible usage cost. Lot numbered for NIST traceability, Tempilstik indicators are supplied in an adjustable aluminum holder with pocket clip. There are over 100 temperature ratings, systematically spaced between 100-2500°F (38-1371°C). Most can be certified to be lead, sulfur and halogen free. Tempilstik indicators can be stroked on a workpiece from time to time during a heating operation. Below its temperature rating, the Tempilstik leaves a dry, opaque chalk mark. When its rating is reached, the Tempilstik leaves a liquid smear. On cooling, the melted Tempilstik mark will solidify with a transparent or translucent appearance.
