Industrial Heatingand ASM International have signed a letter of intent to collaborate on makingIndustrial Heatingthe official publication of the ASM Heat Treating Society (HTS). Once approved by both organizations, as of Jan. 1, 2010, HTS member news will be published inIndustrial Heatingon a bi-monthly basis to provide coverage of society activities and events.Industrial Heatingwill also become the official publication of the HTS Conference & Exposition, which will return to Indianapolis with the American Gear Manufacturers Association’s Gear Expo event in September 2011. While HTS will discontinue publication ofHeat Treating Progress, the society will continue to publish all of its electronic products including its weekly e-newsletter, the HTS Community website at www.asminternational.org/hts and sponsored webinars that provide in-depth coverage of heat treating for HTS members.
