Immersion Heating System
C-Mersion is an immersion heater for non-melting, molten metal applications. Target markets include aluminum holding furnaces, degassing systems and die-casting machines. The C-Mersion heater consists of a bayonet heating element and protective immersion tube. The special heating element is critical to the overall performance of the system. It is fabricated from heavy-gauge Kanthal APM alloy wire, special insulators and heavy-duty leads and terminals. The design offers a higher watt loading and power rating than conventional elements. In many applications, this reduces the number of elements required. Other benefits include elimination of the high costs associated with transformers, ease of start-up and operation, and the ability to replace individual elements.
