ArcelorMittal Lesaka placed an order with Fives Stein, through its Spanish subsidiary Fives Stein Bilbao, for the implementation of a coil coating section on its existing galvanizing line. The combined line will be able to process the following products at 45 tons/hour: normal passivated galvanized material with or without chrome VI, galvanized material with application of an organic film and mono-layer/bi-layer prepainted material. ArcelorMittal selected Fives Celes’ induction patented technology. Thanks to a regenerative thermal oxidizer, the complete solution will fully comply with high energy efficiency, flexibility of operation and stringent environmental regulation. The first painted coil is expected in the first quarter of 2011.
