A VFS vacuum furnace has been shipped to a manufacturer located in the northeast United States. The HIQ2624-10 horizontal internal quench (IQ) furnace was designed to address the company’s sintering process requirements. This furnace includes a 10-bar nitrogen quench system with an energy-efficient graphite hot zone capable of processing temperatures up to 2400°F. The unit features an 18-inch x 14-inch x 24-inch hot zone, and it is capable of handling loads up to 750 pounds. This shipment represents the second VFS vacuum furnace purchased by this customer.
The furnace also includes: Graform curved graphite heating elements, CompuVac supervisory control system and a TruLock autoclave door. Available in horizontal and vertical models, VFS furnaces are utilized by manufacturers in the medical, aerospace and land-based turbine industries.
