Vertical Conveyor Oven
No. 917 is a gas-heated, vertical conveyor oven used for sintering. With a maximum operating temperature of 750°F, the furnace has workspace dimensions measuring 24 inches wide x 26 inches deep x 53 inches high. A 2,000-CFM, 2-HP recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow to the workload. Twenty-nine trays, each measured 18 inches x 5 inches, rise vertically through the load/unload zone, pass up through the oven heat and then down into the cooling zone below the oven. A ½-HP motor drive moves the trays through the unit, which features an aluminized steel exterior and interior plus 6-inch-thick insulated walls.
