Safety Ovens
Friction-Aire® safety ovens prevent explosions and ignitions when working with Group D hazardous materials such as paints, lacquers, solvents and similar materials. TPS manufactures three Blue M Friction-Aire ovens that are Underwriter Laboratories listed for Class 1, Group D hazardous locations. The ovens regulate temperature inside the chamber by using a high-velocity airflow system to generate heat, not a heating element. The absence of a heating element eliminates an ignition source when working with atmospheres containing flammable vapors. The chamber temperature matches the oven’s air temperature, thereby eliminating stratification and hot spots.
