Ipsen International Holdings has expanded its presence in the Asian market by purchasing the heat-treating-furnace branch of Seavac, which is based in the Nagoya/Kyoto region of Japan. The acquisition of Seavac’s industrial furnace construction branch is a key part of Ipsen’s international strategic alignment in Asia and gives the company direct access to national and international Japanese customers. Ipsen’s first step is to produce and market its newest vacuum furnace for the Japanese market at the new Seavac location. The furnace will include associated process and control technology as well as software.
In a secondary step, atmospheric chamber furnaces and continuous systems will be produced and marketed. Over the coming years, Ipsen plans a simultaneous expansion of sales offices and service centers in Japan and other Asian countries.
