Quench Tank
No. 974 is an electrically heated 200°F specially insulated quench tank used to heat mineral oil fro product curing after metal heat treating. Tank dimensions measure 22 inches wide x 22 inches long x 26 inches deep. The quench tank features 1-inch-thick insulated walls with an insulated, removable cover that hangs on the front of the tank during loading and unloading. Process controls on board No. 974 include a digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors and a fused disconnect switch.
