Impregnating Process
IMPCO’s metal impregnating process seals porous metal parts so effectively they are as tight or better than the equipment used to test them. The IMPCO process is designed to seal both macro and micro porosity, filling all voids completely. It works for ferrous and nonferrous metals and their alloys as well as ceramics. The IMPCO process can decrease manufacturing costs and increase productivity by assuring part quality and dramatically reducing rejects. It also completely cleans the parts, places them in a vacuum and removes all air from the pores.
