Industrial Heating’smonthly economic indicators for August 2008 showed growth in the thermal-processing industry. All four indices were over 50 for the 16th time in the past 18 months. The change in the number of request for quotes (51.8) and the change in the number of orders (52.0) both increased from July’s figures. August 2008’s index numbers reflect the changes experienced by responding companies as they compare their July 2008 business levels to their June 2008 levels.
