Inductoheat has shipped two CrankPro systems to a leading supplier of automobile-engine crankshafts. The CrankPro induction hardening and tempering system utilizes advanced SharP-C technology, which eliminates the rotation of the crankshaft and movement of the inductor during heating and quenching cycles. CrankPro systems can harden up to 7.0-liter crankshafts, parts weighing 100 pounds and produce up to 70 parts per hour.

This equipment provides benefits including modular construction, simple operation, improved tool life and low part distortion. Inductoheat will ship three additional CrankPro systems in the fourth quarter of 2008 and one in the first quarter of 2009.
