AFE Cronite Technologies, a supplier of heat-treatment alloy fixtures and furnace parts, has opened a manufacturing plant in Monterrey, Mexico. The Monterrey plant, located in a 50,000-square-foot building close to the Monterrey International airport, is a sand-casting foundry with a starting production capacity of 120,000 pounds per month. The facility will enable AFE Cronite to provide better local service by reducing delivery lead times and will also complement existing manufacturing facilities in France, Germany, China and the U.K.
AFE Cronite is also expanding its sales network in order to cover a larger portion of the U.S. market. For over 30 years, Cleveland, Ohio-based North American Cronite has provided fixturing solutions for heat-treat shops in Mexico.
