Logan Aluminum Adds Recycling Center
June 18, 2008
Logan Aluminum, a manufacturer of aluminum sheet, has completed work on a new $30 million aluminum recycling center at its Russellville, Ky., facility. The plant enables Logan Aluminum to receive and melt scrap aluminum such as beverage cans and painted siding. It completely eliminates the need for the company to ship in molten aluminum to produce its rolled aluminum sheets. According to Logan Aluminum, this is the first time the technology – used extensively in Europe – has been introduced in the United States.
