U.S. steel mills shipped 9, 174,000 net tons in February 2008, according to the latest report from the American Iron and Steel Institute. The report shows that the February total represents a 9.9% increase from the 8,350,000 net tons shipped in February 2007. U.S. steel mills shipped 9,246,000 net tons in January 2008.
