Economy Industrial of Ambridge, Pa., is producing two new casting machines for installation in Europe. The company will install a stainless ingot casting machine at IC Vtormet (Moscow, Russia) as well as a ferroalloy casting machine in Iceland. Both new machines incorporate Economy Industrial’s patented process-control system. Economy Industrial is also currently producing a pig-iron casting machine for domestic use in a new oxide recovery facility in Blytheville, Ark.
The casting machines feature an advanced automatic control system that will help to reduce operating costs by lowering mold consumption and reducing manning requirements. The control system also incorporates a variety of inter-locks to ensure consistent, safe operation and reduce deviations from operational errors.
