Electric Inert Atmosphere Oven
No. 964 is an electrically heated, 1000°F inert atmosphere oven used for bluing steel. Workspace dimensions measure 24 inches wide x 24 inches deep x 36 inches high. A 750 CFM, ¾-HP recirculating blower motor provides horizontal front-to-rear airflow to the workload, and 18 KW are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular elements to heat the unit. Controls include a digital programming temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors, SCR power controller, and a 10-inch-diameter, 2-pen circular-chart temperature recorder.
