Spheric Technologies, Inc. has installed a high-temperature microwave furnace at its headquarters in Phoenix, Ariz. The furnace offers a quick turnaround of process development projects using metal powders and ceramics for prototype parts. The new MW-L0616V computer-controlled automated furnace can operate at temperatures exceeding 3000°F.
The furnace can be used with different atmospheres and features vacuum evacuation for backfilling with inert and/or process gases. Spheric Technologies is the exclusive licensee for microwave sintering patents developed at the Penn State Microwave Processing and Engineering Center.
