Can-Eng Furnaces has recently installed and commissioned a high-volume T-6 heat-treatment system for a tier-one manufacturer of aluminum-intensive automotive components. This installation doubles the manufacturer’s suspension casting heat-treatment capacity and also represents a similarly designed system completed by Can-Eng Furnaces in 2006. The new T-6 system utilizes a roller-hearth design.

The system also incorporates recent design advancements by Can-Eng, including reduced cycle time, improved temperature uniformity, reduction in system hardware and low-maintenance rapid-quenching technology. It includes transfer conveyors, solution and aging furnaces, a rapid-quench transfer system and a processor-based control system.
