Despatch Industries announced the sale of two drop-bottom solution heat-treat furnaces to the Goodrich Corporation’s Aerostructures business unit. The furnaces will be used to solution heat treat aluminum components that Goodrich supplies to the commercial aircraft industry. The furnaces are needed to accommodate an increase in heat-treating capacity at Goodrich’s new Mexicali, Mexico, facility.

The furnaces feature indirect gas heating systems with work chambers measuring 9 feet wide x 11 feet long x 8 feet high. Each furnace is provided with a mobile load car, glycol quench tank and water rinse tank. They both utilize a quench management and glycol recovery system.
