Ohio-based RTI International Metals, a producer of titanium mill products and fabricated metal components, will build a $100 million titanium-producing factory in Henry County, Va. The new plant will be used to manufacture titanium for the aerospace industry and will create 150 jobs. The facility will be located in the Patriot Centre, an industrial park jointly developed by Henry County and the city of Martinsville.
According to RTI, the new plant will help the company meet a growing demand for titanium. When RTI moves into the Patriot Centre industrial area, it will become Henry County’s largest taxpayer and utility user.
