Calcarb Ltd., the Bellshill, Scotland-based manufacturer and supplier of premium high-purity carbon bonded carbon fiber (CBCF) based rigid insulation and precursor materials, announced that construction on its global headquarters and expanded manufacturing plant is on schedule for completion by mid-2008. The facility represents a $25 million investment that will include state-of-the-art equipment and a threefold increase in production capacity. Calcarb is adding new ultra high firing furnaces capable of processing to 2400°C (4352°F) and new chemical vapor deposition (CVD) furnaces.

The 70,000-square-foot facility, located in Lanarkshire, Scotland, is expected to be fully operational by late summer 2008. Calcarb is a fully owned subsidiary of Consarc Engineering, which is part of the Inductotherm Group.
