LOI Thermprocess has been awarded a contract by Zhangjiagang Shajing Heavy Plate Co., Ltd. to supply a new roller hearth furnace with continuous quench facility for the heat treatment of alloyed carbon steel and high-alloy steel plates. The plates, with thicknesses between 5-100 mm, widths of 900-4,800 mm and lengths from 3,000-25,000 mm, are to be used for shipbuilding and boiler making. The plant, due to be commissioned in May 2008, will be the 10th quenching and tempering plant for steel plate supplied by LOI to China in the past two years.
LOI Thermprocess has been awarded a contract by Turkish company Kalibre Boru for a new continuous roller hearth furnace. The furnace is to be used for normalizing at 840-950°C (1544-1742°F) and stress-relieve annealing at 550-650°C (1022-1202°F). The furnace will be heated by radiant tubes with recuperative burners. Production is scheduled to start in 2008.
