Gas-Fired Furnace
No. 875 is a gas-fired, 1600°F specialty furnace used for burning off hydrocarbons from machined alloy components. Three workspace stations are provided, each measuring 10 inches wide x 10 inches deep x 2 inches high. This furnace features 5-inch-thick insulated walls throughout, comprising 2 inches of 2300°F ceramic fiber and 3 inches of 1900°F block insulation. In addition, 500,000 BTU/hr are installed in a modulating natural gas burner to heat the unit.
