Dofasco Tubular Products Corporation announced the signing of a definitive purchasing agreement on the sale of its Elizabethtown, Ky., stainless tube making facility to Samuel Manu-Tech Inc. of Mississauga, Ontario. Dofasco engaged in the sale of the facility to focus on its core carbon steel businesses of mechanical and automotive tubing. According to Samuel Manu-Tech, the purchase price is $28.5 million.

Dofasco, a steel-solutions provider and member of the ArcelorMittal group, has product lines including hot-rolled, cold-rolled, galvanized and tinplate flat-rolled steels as well as tubular products and laser-welded blanks. Samuel Manu-Tech is an industrial products and technology company producing a wide range of steel and related industrial products and services from locations in Canada, Mexico and the United States.
