Yokogawa Electric Corporation announced that Yokogawa (Thailand) Ltd. has received a contract to supply control systems, field sensors and other services for a petrochemical plant complex construction project of Map Ta Phut Olefins Co., Ltd. Under the contract, Yokogawa will deliver a CENTUM CS 3000 integrated production-control system and ProSafe-RS safety instrumented system as well as approximately 60 GC1000 Mark II process gas chromatographs and 5,000 field sensors.
Yokogawa will participate in the project from an early stage as a main automation contractor together with engineering, procurement and construction contractors. This will enable the company to contribute to the standardization of control-device specifications, improvement of engineering quality and reduction of costs and delivery times.
