Heavy-duty Furnace
No. 921 is an electrically heated, 2000°F heavy-duty box furnace. Workspace dimensions measure 24 inches wide x 48 inches deep x 24 inches high. Heat to the workload is provided by 34KW power installed in nickel-chrome wire coils, supported by vacuum-formed ceramic fiber. The unit features 7-inch-thick insulated walls comprised of 5 inches of 2300°F ceramic fiber and 2 inches of 1700°F ceramic fiber while the 6.5-inch floor insulation consists of 4.5 inches of 2300°F firebrick and 2 inches of 1900°F block insulation. This furnace also has a 3/16-inch steel plate reinforced shell and .5-inch steel front plate construction.
