Raytek has expanded the capabilities of its digital MI Series infrared temperature sensor. The MI sensor now features increased optical resolution, optimizing its performance in demanding process-control environments and allowing direct replacement of contact probes. The Raytek MI Series is a two-piece infrared measurement system with a miniature sensing head and separate electronics, covering a temperature range from -40°-600°C (-40-1112°F). The sensor is small enough (14 millimeters in diameter, 28 millimeters in length) to be installed just about anywhere. It is housed in a rugged, stainless steel enclosure with IP65 rating, ensuring long-term performance even in harsh industrial processes.
