SECO/WARWICK has sold a 4,400-pound capacity top-loading vacuum furnace with 6-bar gas quenching to Bodycote’s Neuilly en Thelle, France, facility. The custom-engineered system will be equipped with an all-metal uniform zone 47 inches in diameter x 14 feet, 9 inches high. The furnace will be equipped with a 6-bar orbital cooling system that provides uniform gas distribution during the cooling cycle, which is particularly important in multi-layer and large loads for commercial heat treating. This system is equipped with a fully automated control system.

In other news, ELTERMA SA, SECO/WARWICK Group received an order from a company in Spain for a heat-treatment line for carburizing and hardening of gear wheels and shafts used in the transmissions of wind power plants. The complete system will incorporate two retort pit furnaces rated for 17,637 pounds each. In addition, ELTERMA SA, SECO/WARWICK Group sold two pit furnaces to a German producer of CNC machine tools.
