Ameritherm has awarded an induction heating system to the Material Science and Engineering Department at Georgia Institute of Technology. The Ameritherm HOTSHOT 2 kW system, valued at $8,600, was installed in the department’s new laboratory and is being used in a chemical vapor deposition (CVD) apparatus as part of the cold-wall reactor.

Georgia Institute of Technology won the HOTSHOT system during the Ambrell group of companies’ worldwide induction-heating-system giveaway. Their CVD application was one of hundreds of applications submitted during the contest.
