Combustol’s Sao Paulo, Brazil, service center has expanded its commercial heat-treatment capacity with a Nitrex-engineered BTQ-669 horizontal batch nitriding furnace. The system, which has been on-stream since the start of 2007, is equipped with Nitreg®-C technology for nitrocarburizing pneumatic components for a major automotive supplier. The new furnace will increase Combustol’s nitriding/nitrocarburizing capacity to approximately 16,500 pounds per day.
