BOC (Murray Hill, N.J.; http://www.boc.com/), an industrial gases supplier, and MORE S.r.l., a supplier of chemical energy and injection systems to the electric arc furnace (EAF) steelmaking industry, developed MORE Hi_Jet, a next generation of the BOC burnjector. It has already been involved in over 18 installations worldwide. The two companies recently expanded their licensing agreement to grant MORE exclusive worldwide rights to BOC's Burnjector technology for use in EAFs and permitting BOC to act as the selling partner for MORE's complete line of products and services in certain geographies. The MORE Hi_Jet utilizes the capabilities of simultaneously injecting a powerful stream of carbon particles, a supersonic oxygen jet, and a high-velocity oxyfuel burner.
