Nitrex Metal Inc. (www.nitrex.com) installed and commissioned a Nitreg® nitriding system for Grupa Kety S.A., a Polish manufacturer of aluminum extrusion products in soft and hard alloys. The NX-1015E model has a work zone diameter and height of 39 by 59 in. (1,000 by 1,500 mm) and can handle a load capacity of 5,500 lb (2,500 kg). By acquiring its own nitriding equipment instead of outsourcing, Grupa Kety S.A. is now able to manage die-handling operations under one roof with increased production capacity and flexibility. The project was completed in the first quarter of 2006.
