Bayer AG Announces Sale of H.C. Starck

The Bayer Group (Goslar, Germany; http://www.bayer.com) plans to strengthen its HealthCare business by selling its subsidiary companies, H.C. Starck and Wolff Walsrode. In 2005, sales revenue of H.C. Starck grew by 31% to 920 million Euros. According to H.C. Starck, both company management and employees will ensure that the business relationships will be continued to the fullest satisfaction of all partners. At this point, no comment has been made on further development of the acquisition or timing of the sale.
