Park Thermal International (Georgetown, Ontario) has acquired the assets of The Metal Works Industrial Furnaces Inc. (Sterling Heights, Mich.). Jim Laird, founder and president of The Metal Works, holds over 100 patents relating to the thermal-processing industry and specializes in salt bath systems. Park Thermal has also merged with Pye Metallurgical Consulting of Meadville, Pa. David Pye, owner and operator of Pye Metallurgical, has over five decades of experience in all facets of the heat-treating industry and consults with both the Metal Treating Institute (MTI) and the American Society of Metals (ASM). The additions of Mr. Laird and Mr. Pye will help strengthen Park Thermal’s technical-support capabilities.
