Premier Furnace Specialists, Inc. (Farmington Hills, Mich.) has shipped an 18,000-gallon water quench tank system for iron castings. The tank is approximately 16 feet wide x 16 feet long x 10 feet, 6 inches deep with an operating temperature range of 90°F-120°F. Quench agitation is provided by six 10-HP-powered propeller-type mixers, and the evaporative cooling tower is designed to remove 2,000,000 Btu/hr.
