C.I. Hayes (Cranston, R.I.) has installed a dual-tube, bi-metallic hardening line at a saw-blade manufacturer in the northeast United States. The line will be used for hardening band-saw material. The furnace, which is electrically heated with Globar elements, has a nitrogen atmosphere and a temperature capability of 2150°F.
