BTU International (N. Billerica, Mass.) will partner with Boston University to develop solid-oxide fuel cells. The company supplies thermal-processing equipment to electronics manufacturers and energy generators, and hopes to develop new technology that will allow for the production of fuel cells at lower costs. The program will be conducted in BU's manufacturing engineering department by Professors Uday Pal and Srikanth Gopalan.
