Ipsen International (Rockford, Ill.) received an order from Pinson Valley Heat Treating Co. (Pinson, Ala.) for the design and manufacture of a high-performance vacuum heat treat furnace. The Abar-Ipsen® Model H5448 2-bar TurboTreater™ horizontal vacuum furnace has a work zone size of 36 in. wide by 36 in. high by 48 in. deep. The 2,500-lb vacuum processing weight capacity will add to Pinson Valley Heat Treating's capabilities, which include stress relief, oil quench and temper, water quench, aluminum solution heat treat and age, normalize, solution anneal and precipitation hardening.
