The No. 778 tempering furnace is electrically heated to a maximum operating temperature of 1400¯F (760¯C) and has workspace dimensions of 24"W x 36"D x 24"H. Total power of 42 kW is available through alloy wire heating elements supported by a stainless steel frame. The unit features a rear-mounted, heat-resisting alloy circulating fan, with a 5 HP motor, V-belt drive, and air-cooled bearings to withstand severe working environments. The 6" thick insulated walls comprise 3" of 2300¯F (1260¯C) ceramic fiber and 3" of block insulation. Additional features include a motor-operated vertical lift door, Type 304, 2B finish stainless steel interior, and available loading fixture with three shelves.
