Vacuum Hardening Furnace
Use of carbon fiber-reinforced carbon (CFC) fixtures make it possible to vacuum harden drilling tools at 1210 C (2210 F) in this furnace. The fixtures provide minimum tray mass due to their high load-bearing capacity, resulting in higher cooling rates and greater hardness of the workpieces. Cycle time reduction of each furnace run is about 35%, resulting in saved energy. An optional third grid increases net loading capacity by 50%.
