Industrial Heating Economic Indicators: November Orders Make Big Jump
Industrial Heating reports that its November 2004 Orders Index took a large positive jump from the previous month. The Orders Index, one of four indices, showed a substantial positive jump from 49.4 in October to 57.8 in November. The other three indices all showed positive returns for November. November 2004 index numbers reflect the changes experienced by responding companies as they compare their November 2004 business levels to October 2004 levels.
November 2004 Index Numbers:
Change in number of Request for Proposals from October to November: 52.2
Change in the Number of Orders from October to November: 57.8
Change in Backlog from October to November: 55.8
Expected change in the Health of Thermal Processing Industry through December: 52.7
A number above 50.0 indicates increased activity or growth. A number below 50.0 indicates decreased activity or a decline in growth. Look for these numbers, along with historical values, on the editorial page of the January 2005 of Industrial Heating.
