The MI-140 Series of noncontact infrared pyrometers can measure low temperatures using a short wavelength and offers a wide temperature range. It can measure the temperature of highly reflective metals, small wires, steel parts, ceramics, graphite, composites, etc. and is suitable for induction heating, wire drawing, and welding applications. Models are available with temperature ranges from 120 to 5970 F (50 to 3300 C). It can measure spot sizes as small as 0.01 in. (0.25 mm). Two models, the MI-S140 and MI-GA140 have response times of <1 ms optional to 500us.
