The Whirl-A-Way(r) quench is designed to provide uniform quenching of metal parts after they reach temperature in the furnace. Typical applications include coins, nuts, studs, nails, screws, bolts and washers. The quench uses oil, synthetic or water media, and is designed to prevent atmosphere contamination in the furnace. The unit incorporates a pressurized chamber to generate fluid velocity to convey parts without a belt, which prevents lost or clogged parts. The vapor barrier commonly present during quench is wiped away by the media flow, resulting in excellent quench properties. The unit works with any rotary, shuffle, conveyor or shaker furnace.
