To assist manufacturers of zinc alloy die castings in offsetting increasing energy costs, Eastern Alloys Inc., Maybrook, N.Y., developed guidelines to conduct in-plant energy audits. The publication is designed to identify points of energy consumption, quantify losses and develop strategies to improve net efficiency and lower unit cost.
