LOI Industrial Furnaces, Canonsburg, Pa., has been awarded a contract from a southern wire rod producer for the supply of a rotary furnace. With an outside diameter of 27 ft and 10 hearth positions, the furnace will be able to produce eight tons of stainless steel wire/rod per hour. The rotary furnace is part of an expansion program and is scheduled for a mid-2003 installation.
