Ebner Receives Order For Bell Annealer in Germany
March 29, 2004
Schwermetall Halbzeugwerk GmbH & Co. KG, Stolberg, Germany, placed an order with EBNER Industrieofenbau for a HICON/H2(r) bell annealer facility. The facility type HOg 200/390 Ms-H2-B is designed to recrystallize and homogenize copper and copper alloy strip, replacing an old EBNER facility that has been in operation for 25 years. The new facility accepts coils with an outside diameter of up to 2000 mm and a total net charge of up to 80 tons per workbase. Using an all-metal encapsulated, gas-tight workbase and pure hydrogen as process atmosphere enables the material to be processed with a completely bright surface. The facility operates automatically. A new visualization system Visual Furnaces(r) is provided for supervising and archiving the anneal process.
