Randolph Austin Co. Orders Vacuum Carburizing Furnace

The Randolph Austin Co. placed an order with Seco/Warwick Corp., Meadville, Pa., for a vacuum furnace to be shipped to its Manchaca, Texas facility for the production of high performance gears. The furnace is a double chamber furnace for vacuum carburizing in a hydrocarbon gas mixture (patent pending). It has a separate high-pressure chamber COLDCAM(tm) for inert gas quenching. This furnace also is suitable for hardening of tool and low-alloy steels.
