Ceram Guard 96, the latest addition to the Ceram Guard series, is a water based, cost-effective, oxidation resistant coating engineered to protect metals and alloys in oxidizing or contaminating atmospheres at high temperatures for extended periods of time. The coating prevents diffusion of oxygen or other gases into the metals in the temperature range of 2000 to 2300 F (1095 to 1260 C). CG-96 is easy to use and generally does not bond or stick to the metal. It is engineered to spall on cooling or during a descaling operation after reheating.
